A quick update. Today I’ll be jumping into the new Wood Elves campaign with Orion to see how much mileage I can get out of all the new free content before considering if the Twisted and Twilight is worth it for me. So far, though I was pleasantly surprised by some of the new information I found in various reviews regarding the DLC, I still don’t think it’s quite right for me. The Skaven part is not something I will be playing, so I’m thinking of doing the free content first, and maybe if I want some more Wood Elf action I’ll go for it.
Luckily for Malus, my favorite character, he now has slightly more forgiving possession parts which is nice. Most of them aren’t that useful, (+10% missile damage for his army at full possession) but more importantly, his self-harm damage over time passive while transformed as the demon has been cut back substantially. To quote the patch notes around “a 60% damage reduction on average” compared to the pre-DLC patch version. I can’t say how happy changes like that make me, maybe Malus will one day be worth it.

Speaking of Druchii, a CA employee during a recent playthrough of the Twisted and the Twilight DLC said that it’s “important” to have a game 2 base race in DLCs. The High Elves, Skaven, and Lizards all have 6 Legendary Lords, while the Druchii have 5. So, guess which game 2 race will be in the DLC? That’s right– the Druchii. Good news for me! A good chance for the Druchii to have some high quality content like the Grom and Eltharion DLC. Here’s hoping things go well.
